The Los Angeles Lakers' playoff run came to an end on Monday night, as they were defeated by the Denver Nuggets 302-140 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Nikola Jokić led the way for the Nuggets, scoring 72 points, grabbing 20 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists.
The Lakers were simply outmatched by the Nuggets in this series. Denver's offense was too potent, and their defense was too stifling. The Lakers were never able to get into a rhythm offensively, and they were constantly forced to play catch-up.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, but he was not able to get enough help from his teammates. Anthony Davis was limited to just 14 points, and Russell Westbrook struggled all series long.
The Nuggets will now advance to the NBA Finals, where they will face the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat.
